The latest single from Blunt Chunks is the excellent ‘BWFW’. It’s a gritty post-punk cut that centres itself on an incredibly dirty guitar sound during the aggressive choruses and a raw drum and bass accompaniment during the more restrained verses. Despite the power of the band, Blunt Chunks manage to craft juxtaposing catchy melodies throughout the track. “I wrote this one while in Berlin in 2019,” explains Caitlin Woelfle-O'Brien. “I was visiting a lover and he really made me feel unwanted. I ended up leaving his place and staying at a friend's warehouse art studio where I was much freer to create.” The Blunt Chunks EP drops on May 6th, 2022. -Dan Peeke
